probably not. It's software, not a tumble dryer. Sorry about the sarcasm,
but it's my honest opinion, which I believe to be the true answer.

If you are looking for a replacement for Windows 95, consider Ubuntu Linux,
which will be sent to your house for free <  http://shipit.ubuntulinux.org/

goodies. It is rock solid (will never crash) and very, very intuitive.

PS - I hope you have no intentions of installing XP on that same old
machine. Windows XP is a notorious resource (particularly memory) hog.
