I have noticed no changes since Labour day, but 2 weeks ago there was a

There has been (still is) an inbound links update. What is the nature of the
links you used to have counted? Were any of these comments in various Web
sites? Could the introduction of rel="nofollow" have affected you? Have you
lost physical links?

I am not sure it should be related to link. The number of indexed pages will
remain unchanged unless you have rel="nofollow"ed some links, removed some
pages, modified your metadata, or changed ~/robot.txt.

PageRank has not been updated for over a month. It may take 2 to 3 more
months until it gets updated again. Ranks rarely go down, so unless your
PageRank was (arguably) overrated, I would not worry.
