Thats why one should never be signed in as root when tired. :-)

How about: rm * .o     <GULP!>

You can always set up an alias or a script to shift things through
a "recycle bin" kind of place if you wanted, but, I tend to frown
on that sort of thing, lest one become too accustomed to it.

Personally, I have a problem with trashing databases:

DELETE FROM foo 

Grrrrr!!! %^!@#! L-shaped !@^%#@! enter key!!!

Yep.. That got me once with DB2 and an L-shaped enter key. (man
I hate those keyboards)
