To me, this confirmed everything you guys had been saying all this time
about Windows.  I don't know much personally, since I never use it
(rather, I've used it a little, and never liked it).  Odd thing is how
much Gates seems to value highly educated and intelligent people.
Makes me think that the design and quality problems in his software
stem from him personally, that is, from the policies and corporate
structure and culture that he has imposed.  And I wonder if he is so
enamored of highly educated people because he himself dropped out of
college.

I had not heard about Singularity.  Why would they write a brand new
operating system unless the old one was unsuitable as a basis for
further expansion?  Linux doesn't have that problem.
