He argues that it's temporary (due to expire, or some will bubble 'burst')
but given Microsoft's empty production line (even a successor to Vista isn't
promised yet), who will steal the show from them? As I said before, it's
wishful thinking and a case of sour grapes. The value of Google won't take
long to match Microsoft's declining value. It's relieving that Google is
doing a few things right. For example, yesterday they decided to anonimise
their logs. But why retain them at all...? Google trends? Profiling?
Targetted ads? Privacy and personalisation are contradictory. Let's
establish some regulation which forces /everyone/ to limit data collection.
This way there won't be a case of nice guys finish last (an example comes to
mind here... Intel's kickbacks with Dell and Lenovo).
