Some would say that they want discounts from Microsoft, but a message that I
saw this morning (TuxMachines, probably from a Dell employee although it's
not confirmed) makes it seem inevitable. Dell is currently determined to
offer Linux. The question is /which distro/. Also, I wonder what the price
will be and whether it'll be available outside the US (hmm... I should say
"would", not "will").

Microsoft has Novell on a leash now. They just haven't got around to
completely destroying it, yet. I guess Opensuse/SLED truly became a huge
threat to the monopoly. Given the right price (execs may have received
benefits, other than the $0.3 billion the company), the soul of this company
was sold. It's a good think Noorda is no longer around to witness this.
