A recent Unisys study concludes that trust is crucial For biometrics just as they open a new biometric centre in Brussels. From the latter article:
"Unisys Corporation reported Wednesday that it has opened a Biometrics Centre of Excellence in Brussels to serve the European Union and, at the same time, announced the results of a survey that found that nearly 70 percent of consumers favor the use of biometrics to verify identity."
