Willingness of users to lend bandwidth is a key issue. Yet another issue is willingness of Webmasters to serve requests for pages. These are key issues that I have just been reminded of by somebody.

The idea of a distributed search engine was recently conceived and also inspired by Majestic12.

The intention is to possibly use clients' computer idle time in order to keep this a self-maintaining and Open Source project. This should not be a commercial project with profits in mind. It aims to provide a service that puts an end to biased services with advertisements and sponsorships.
