To avoid unnecessary waste of time which is associated with the long, boring
and mechanical process of picture scanning, I did the following.
I scanned all the pictures my mother had in the photo sleeves using my
friend's scanner. I did all of this very quickly, putting 4 pictures inside
the scanner and even replacing them before the head returns to its starting
position.
I then waited until I can could again access my work computer which is very
powerful. I used Photoshop to crop, rotate and set apart the images.
Overall, the process which included high bandwidth traffic took under 2
hours which is okay considering the number of photos. If I had settled down
for a lower resolution, the process would have been shorter.
