It was 2 days ago when I noticed such changes as well. I held myself back
even though I wanted to ask this group about it. From what I heard this
morning, Google might be testing a few features < http://tinyurl.com/bzmrs

As yet another example, search Google for "roy" and see what happens after
the 5th result. I haven't tested to see this on proxies, but the SERP is
possibly going to appear the same way somewhere else.
