-Did you see the configurations under Options->Preferences? Everything set
properly there...?
-Have you got the sound driver installed? Is the volume contol set properly?
-Have you got hackmaster enabled?
-Sound works okay in other applications, e.g. games? How about the standard
fixed-time alarm?
