What was the result? If you start from scratch (nothing installed), does it
'die'as well? Build up progressively, adding one application at a time and
see what the culprit is. If draining the Palm from all add-on application
does not solve the problem, then either:

-You have a mechanical problem with the Palm.

OR

-You have a computer I/O problem.

OR

-Palm Desktop is corrupt.
