I could not identify a Ubuntu newsgroup, so I hope its predecessor can help.
Having installed Ubuntu on a second machine recently, I found that I cannot
control the sound volume properly. Likewise, balance can't be altered. If I
put volume at zero, it mutes, but otherwise the volume is always at max.
Any ideas?
