That's indeed quite odd. That was a bad time for Apple, whose O/S was falling
behind IIRC. I guess that Microsoft's investments in UNIX (e.g. D-I-E-S-C-O)
is no exception. What happened to better UNIX than UNIX? No faith in self.
Safety nets maybe? I don't know...
