Could+ The Wii has already outsold the Xbox 360, in just a couple of
weeks. In Japan. Compared to Xbox 360. Worldwide.
This isn't a place where "could" is apt. :)

120 actually. PS2 has sold more than twice as many units as Xbox360
and Xbox has sold together.

PS3 is obscenely expensive right now. I hope prices will drop soon.
Not that I think it will affect its penetration very much though.
Mind you, I really really like the Xbox 360. It has some great game,
the controller is awesome, they pioneered the entire wireless
controller with power on/off of the console and so on. I'm not bashing
the Xbox 360 (the Xbox is another story) at all. I think it's really
nice. It doesn't stand a chance to the PS3 though. Or the Wii. :)

I think hybrid players will be the future anyway. No one will win the
war and consumers will buy "HD movies" regardless of what media it is
on.
Or maybe 2007 Apple will provide 70% of all DVD movies as HD-movies
via their iTunes Store worldwide and change the game for everyone.

Ah, Videon on Demand. Yeah, we'll see how that pans out.
