I suppose it /may/ have been intended to cover a hole. IE homepage can,
stupidly enough, be altered merely by visiting Web sites. A lot of other
'fun' stuff can be done, e.g. runway browser window, ActiveX control
madness...
In short, with IE, the site controls /you/ (or your browser). With other
browsers, on the other hand, it's /your/ browser. The customer is in charge.
This align with the general theme that characterises Free software, too...
Why is it posted in a Linux forum...?
