The only hint I could pick up is this:

wending its way from data centers like 66.102.7.x. And I wouldn?t be
surprised if a second stage of the index rolls out around this time next
week. I also wouldn?t be surprised if a third stage of the index rolls out
the week after that. I just wanted to let people know that there?s still
  flux to come.

Your predictions were RIGHT - as of a few hours ago:

It's probably a trade-off which involves the amount of crawling and the
capacity of datacentres. If the datacentres don't grow, Google can probably
tweak some cycles, but not set actual dates. From the above, it sounds as
though it's not orchestrated or invoked by a human, so the intervals can't
be predicted.

It would be intersting if Google ever decided to announce the dates of all
updates. There's no real danger in doing so. It would be reminiscent of
Microsoft's "Patching a Vulnerable O/S Tuesday", only without the negative
connotation.
