This is probably a mechanical problem, either with the digitiser or some of
its connectivity to your device. It is worth opening the device is keeping
it semi-open for a while. Experiment a little to discover what causes the
issue. If it is the digitiser, it can be replaced. Needs a bit of soldering
though.
