I met my first grouper in an aquarium at some zoo in, I believe,
Miami. I know it was in the 1970s, because I remember which ex I was
with. :)

I'm actually a member of the slrn mafia.

http://blinkynet.net/comp/slrn_power.html

I just haven't got around to setting up slrn and vim on this new,
clean install of Mandriva. I heavily tweak and macro-ize both of
them, and add that I tend to procrastinate and that I have two new
computers to move into, as well, right now, and you get me using pan
because I knew it to be basically okay and much quicker to get
up'n'running. :)

And I have Knode available on this Mandriva system, as you can see,
one reason being I Just Like News Clients. Also, I've been active
for quite a while in news.software.readers, and I like to not be
limited in there to knowing just one or two clients. On other
machines within six or seven feet of me, here at home, I also have
Xnews (Win98SE and 2K) and Thunderbird (Windows 98SE, 2K, XP and SUSE
Linux) running (for mail, news or both). On the Win side, I've been
an Xnews adherent and promoter for about five years (which has
evidenced itself in this group -- note the second section here:
http://blinkynet.net/comp/ndx_windows.html.

I'm here and in alt.html to read and learn. Most of what I've been
able to /give back/ has been when threads on news clients have
erupted. :)
