Dear Jim

Thank you for your email regarding the operating system for Sky by
Broadband.

I can confirm that Sky have selected Windows XP as the operating system
of choice to launch this new service.

Thanks for that Jim.
Now thats one service I won't be subscribing to.

Particularly nasty when you consider many of the set top boxes
are all running GNU/Linux.

TiVo, MythTV, etc.

Let me guess that Sky executive are using (or being used by) Windows XP at
home.

Thanks for letting me know this. Sky=boycott.

Best wishes,

Roy

I'm sure they are cowering in their executive chairs at the thought of 25
Linux loonies refusing to buy their service.
You guys crack me up!

flatfish: you're just hearing the voices of those who can be bothered replying. How many feel the same way who don't even read this group? How many have already subscribed to this service, only to find out that their Mac/Linux box isn't supported, and that Sky Digital have zero intention to ever offer a client for these platforms? Who knows? More than 25, I'll wager.
