I heard that Konqui passed the Acid 2 test about half a year ago. Safari
(KHTML is its engine) should cope too. Opera is the golden browser, but it's
lack of Freedom and -- until recently -- freedom makes it hard to get
absorbed.
Regarding your last point, to most it is not a matter of /reasoning/. It's a
matter of what's there, i.e. it's ignorance or laziness that dominate and
supersede other factors.
