I was simply responding the the *MS* related post in this group. I
didn't start it - didn't you even check to see who started the post?
Also, I didn't say anywhere that it is *wrong* to criticize MS.
However, this *is* Linux **ADVOCACY**, and this article just goes to
create FUD about MS on a stupid issue. MS realigns its business units
almost every fiscal year.
Roy made it seem like these units were doing bad; on the contrary, they
are doing fairly well and are increasing revenue and profits YOY and
quarterly as well.
My issue is with Roy and the way he reports the 'news'...
Finally, MS is not the 'rest of the market'. Apple is in there too,
and they are increasing revenues and shipments in their computer
offerings as well - in fact, doing quite well.
Linux advocates should fear Apple the most - because anybody that is
looking for a different choice *or* is ABM clearly will choose the Mac
for desktop use simply because OSX is so clearly superior to Linux in
almost every way, *and* has a *far* better GUI than any Linux desktop -
and in some ways is even better than XP (Vista is a different story
altogether - jury is still out).
