One defense these 'pirates' should use in a counter
suit is that their windope copy hadn't been secured
properly enough - e.g. a $0.2 dongle
to protect a $300 product is reasonable.
In that respect, micoshaft could be deemed to have behaved
unreasonable in leaving doors open that allowed piracy.
Such arguments have been used in courts before and cases
have been won based on reasonable common sense
expectations of all parties.
