My only gripe with autocomplete (and terminal prompting for available
completions) is that such valuable features they are not visually-rich and
therefore they convey too little information. No thumbnails, extensions are
harder to interpret as words and colours, etc. The human eye and the brain's
perception is capable of more than the interpretation of words (strings of
symbols) and something monochrome. There currently revolve some speculations
and predictions about UI's and interaction that use the motion of the eye
rather than limbs and fingers (or that equivocal, slow input through sound,
which never caught on).
Best wishes,
Roy
