That may be true (and thanks for pointing that out). Avatars
were a rather new feature at the time of capture. I guess
there remains an audience that prefers it when Firefox
compatibility, for example, precedes compatibility with a
browser that is incompatible with standards. Standards
should take precedence rather than a commonplace ill. In
battelfields, for example, you will collect the wounded
before reaching out for the dead, religious factors aside.
