Ballmer promised to "f*ing kill Google" less than a year ago and his
engineers said that MSN was "twice as good (as Google)" once again a few
months ago. Frankly, I think they are playing mind games, attempting to have
people test (or taste) some new, turbid water. Their 'answer' to Google
Trends is purely Flash-based and its function seems more like a joke (MTV
crossover). I am not sure if invested cash and acquisitions can save them.
Their stock is nearing a 7-year low, and being one who posts over 50
messages a day to the Linux advocacy newsgroup, I could not be happier.

Best wishes,

Roy
