True. Microsoft have got Mac and Linux laboratories, which employ Open
Source/Apple gurus, for exactly that reason. All is relative and one needs
'inspiration' (catching up with the latest selling point of your
competitor), particularly when innovation is lacking. Look at Larry Qualig
who used to work at Microsoft and, at the moment, has got several Linux
boxes in his house.

Oddly enough, a long time ago I wrote about Bill Gates being dumped from
Microsoft because of his lust for Novell SUSE <
http://www.schestowitz.com/Amusement/gates-on-linux/ >. I know it's silly,
but perhaps more funny was the statement that Windows Vista will be Service
Pack II < http://www.schestowitz.com/Amusement/vista-upgrade/ > in a fancy
suit. That was said last year, rather cynically so.

Best wishes,

Roy
