Not a valid comparison. Fedora Core 5 > Fedora Core 6 is a free upgrade.
XP > Vista is quite the opposite. But, to answer your question, someone
might want to use GNOME 2.16 (though FC6 is still in the early
stages--still hasn't gotten through the first round of beta testing).

That hardly sounds worth $100, let alone whatever Microsoft will be
