Hello Roy,

actually, I need this to track the work of me and my collegues in our
department on major projects which we advise. We need, on the one hand,
transparency / documentation on the background, the proceeding and so
on - here a wiki comes at hand, just a kind of public (departmentwide)
accessible notepad of the collegue who is working on the project.

However, we get also lots of information from outside, documents in
various formats (mostly pdf) that we want to save right *in* the
context of our public memo so that one (me...) can easily audit the
conclusions that the collegue made on the page from the docs, a kind of
proof collected on the same page or its context.

Wordpress, which I use for my own website, is too complicated for this
task - people need to be able to use the wiki like literally like
their notepad, without any login hassles and so on (its just an
internal solution). My collegue are mainly lawyers, not really computer
literates :-)

We thought also about a forum software, or something like Launchpad or
Bugzilla, however a wiki based solution looks more appealing because of
ease of use. Maybe we have to go with the forum solution if there is no
wiki with a file storage functionality.

Any ideas? I just finished testing eGroupware and phpGroupware but they
are both way to complicated while they also do not have a wiki WITH
file management....
