If you are able to boot into the command-line (by selecting this option from
the bootloader), then simply run the following from the command line:

,----[ Command ]
| vim /etc/lilo.conf
`----

OR

,----[ Command ]
| less /etc/lilo.conf
`----

Tony wants to get infight into what is happening underneath. Maybe something
which is obviously wrong can be spotted and corrected by changing the
configurations in the file.
