It can be a similar deal with other package managers. I understand that SuSE
10.1 has got Zen, which is somewhat of a unification, a best of both worlds
-- synaptic (apt-get) and YaST2. I know nothing from a practical perspective
about Yum, but JRE applications that come as a single compressed file are
splendid too. They remind me of Mac OS X installations. A drag-and-drop
job...
