Then there is IBM, who realises that selling services to Linux users
can be profitable. IBM's Global Services division has revenues on the
same level as Microsoft's total revenue. Yes, IBM makes as much money
selling services as Microsoft make selling eveything. The difference
is, without a monopoly, IBM has to compete on cost and quality, instead
of relying on a monopoly position to sell overpriced goods.
