MS came very close to total server domination. It was ILOVEYOU,
Melissa, CodeRed, etc (crippling worms that occurred in a relatively
short period of time) that woke the IT world up. Since then *nix and
Linux have boomed.

Hehe, MS are very scared of Linux. Not only is it winning the small to
mid-range server market but the desktop as well. No other *nix, other
than OS X, is a threat to their illegally maintained desktop monopoly.

Security is one of those funny things. You can talk about being "more"
secure, but there's no such thing. A vulnerability is a vulnerability, and
even one makes you just as insecure as anyone else. Security is a binary
condition, either you are or you aren't. - Funkenbusch 1 Oct 2006
