'9 out of 10 e-mails now spam'
Someone should pass a bill which isolates Windows PC's from the
Internet.
that would not cure the problem
errmmm...9 out of 10 emails now /sent across the internet/ are spam, mostly
eminating from Windwos machines. Isolating said machines from the internet
would mean that a vast majority of spam would disappear as the Windwos
machines that currently eminate spam would not be able to eminate it. Also,
the features of Windwos[1] which make it viable to send spam would no longer
be accessible.
[1] eg the social engineering that Windwos is so easy so that everyday Joe
Bloggs can use - eg I popped into a bank and overheard a grand-dad style
user commentinmg about a phising email he had received: he had bothered to
go to a branch to tell them about it and was finding it difficult to
understand that he should just ignore them and not even attempt to open them
as the phishers/s[cp]ammers would even know his email address was a live one
and he could expect even more s[cp]am/phising attacks (though the branch bod
did say he didn't how they (s[cp]ammer) could know.
