What do you get when running picasa from the command-line? I assume that when
you run it there is a period of activity before an explicit error is coughed
out. Picasa worked fine from me in SUSE 9.3 (RPM) and, if there is a
dependency issue or collision, the command-line will be verbose enough. Also
work trying if you can't get an error message.
