You are absolutely correct.
In fact, if one wishes to advocate Linux, as in "encourage others to use
it", one ought imo to be a leading light in helping MS and anybody else to
defend their licence. Certainly I have found myself of late to have much
less sympathy with anyone violating licence terms. I'm quite cold-blooded
now when asked for help - if it's a "borrowed" CD, or if I suspect that it
is, for example, I just refuse to have anything to do with it. If they
want to break the law, they are on their own.
