I have been saying this for about a year. The problem has become a huge one
with around 100 billion SPAM per day, 100-150 million PCs in the hands of
hackers (that's what Vint Cerf says), tens or hundreds of billions of
dollars spent on security and associated losses...
Out network here, by the way, in having serious problems. People are unable
to do their work because it's clogged up. Yesterday, the mass disconnections
(with GBP50 fines) began. Prepare for an age when Windows users whine a lot
for being isolated from the Web while Mac and Linux users carry on with
their routine work. In due course, for practical reasons, a switch will
entail more benefits than just Freedom.
