Sh it. If it was Saratoga (California) that would be news. I want to
hear about a region that adopts Linux having a GDP of 400 billion $ or
more, which the California Bay area has or even most big cities in the
US, which far exceeds most country GDPs. (For example, population of
Peru--30 million--has a GDP of $69 billion, while California with
about the same population is 20x that, at $1500 billion). Most mid-to-
large size cities in California (San Diego, LA region, SF region,
Sacramento) would have a GDP 3x to 10x Peru's.
Hell the public school budget for NYC, which is over $10 billion,
exceeds the GDPs of many countries.
Windows is America. Linux is "the other" (Cuba, North Korea, oddballs
in the US, etc).
