Vista Drivers
,----[ Quote ]
| My Toshiba Satellite A60 laptop needed a little more work. It had
| numerous devices that weren?t recognized. I had backed up my drivers
| to a thumb drive before installing Vista. Between these drivers and
| the compatibility workaround I mentioned above, I was able to get
| everything except hibernation and suspend to work. I was able to
| live with that. A little while later, I tried to play a DVD, and
| the video was slow and choppy. I can't live with that. I also
| tried a small video clip from my hard drive and it was choppy
| also. Must be the graphics driver. It has shitty ATI graphics.
| I never have problems with Nvidia. Ubuntu 6.0 and 6.10 did a
| better job with video, but I couldn't get 3d acceleration out of
| it. I plan on using my XP system restore disk ASAP. What a shame.
| I was looking forward to running Vista on my laptop. It's running
| well enough with XP that I don't plan on buying a new laptop just
| to run vista.
