It is not cheaper for comparable specs. Even the blue ray player alone
is expensive for now, and you would still have to add a rather
expensive video card to the cheap PC to have anything comparable. But
that assumes you go with the cheap full size PC. The small form factor
setups are usually more expensive still.

That said, most people will only use them as game consoles and DVD
players. Sad, but true.
