The real question is not its beauty, but its profitability
for Microsoft. Of course, given the rest of these
reports, Microsoft may be shooting itself in the foot
again, apparently.
And beauty can be a great sales tool. :-) Witness the
number of Wintrools who wander in here drooling about the
fact that Linux is ugly, Linux's GUI is ugly, Linux's
command line is ugly -- which has the implication that
Windows is beautiful, Windows' GUI is beautiful, Windows'
command line is ugly but never seen, etc.
