Actually he's a smart guy and I correspond with him sometimes. The reason he
treats GPLv3 adoption this way is his fear of it. I posted the following
earlier < http://boycottnovell.com/2007/07/10/novell-and-microsoft-meet-gpl/ >
just to point out that he is a *skeptic*. Even a skeptic could not stick to
his guns. Just watch Microsoft and its 'statement' last week.
Speaking of which, Asay is close to some guys at Port 25 and Mafiasoft... too
close for comfort, but he sometimes criticises them as well. He depends on
their willingness to interoprate, so he must suck up to them, I think.
