Vancouver is also one of the most expensive cities in which to live in
North America. More so than Seattle from what I am told. And I'm sure the
new workers will be thrilled to pay upwards of 50% in taxes, both income
and sales taxes. But Microsoft won't have to pay for those pesky health
plans.

Let's see... gas at 1.10/l (it's 0.95-1.00/l just across the border and
even less in Seattle).

Average home prices into the 3/4 million.

yep... great deal.

(BTW, I live in Vancouver. If I didn't already have commitments here, I'd
move to Calgary where I can make the same money and buy more and pay less
tax.)
