PClinuxos is far better than Ubuntu, IMHO!!!
On what criteria is it "far better"?
All the multimedia stuff is installed by default.
All the other system partitions are mounted and icons
set up in the konqueror explorer.
The menu layout is better.
The control panel is better.
The base install of applications seems better to me.
PClinuxos is faster on the same machine than Ubuntu.
And other things like that.
And so you can't installe KDE in Ubuntu or what? There's even a "KDE
ready" install for people who dont want to use synaptic.
Kubuntu is out there but it has been buggy in the past although that
may have changed. Yes you can install kde and so forth into Ubuntu but
that's extra steps.
I find PClinuxos to be a better distribution for me.
Others may disagree and nobody can deny Ubuntu's popularity.
It comes down to personal preference.
Also I have not tried the very latest Ubuntu so maybe things have
changed.
