By 2010, will Windows ‘Seven’ (or any desktop OS) really matter?

,----[ Quote ]
| As for Vista? Well, let’s just say it wasn’t that simple. And to be clear,
| I’m not singling out Vista because it’s Windows or it’s from Microsoft. Had
| the newsletter juxtaposed the ever-growing mashup ecosystem with a story
| about the next version of OS X or Linux, I would have said the exact same
| thing. What do you think?
|
| Will desktop operating systems really matter by 2010?

eyeOS: A genuine Web OS

,----[ Quote ]
| While the current version of eyeOS is somewhat light on features and the
| bundled applications have their limitations, this open source Web OS holds a
| lot of promise. If the developers fix the shortcomings of the preinstalled
| applications and add more installable tools to the application list, eyeOS
| has the potential to become a killer solution for mobile users. For now, if
| you need a no-nonsense lightweight Web-based desktop environment, it's
| definitely worth kicking eyeOS's tires.
