Linux still going up (over 2% in 6-7 months). Think about the huge Microsoft
investments and the zero return (they give their product away virtually for
free because it's alpha quality at best, based on what I've seen over here).
Add this product to Zune, XBox, Origami, and the other budget drainer.
Microsoft's hopes are now tied to Vista and some ribbon, which are aging cash
cows (advertising budgets probably exceeded the income they have brought so
far). "Buybacks, Buybacks, Buybacks" it will be for Ballmer. Not "Developers"
or "Advertisers". It's all down to what's left in the pockets. Recently they
have even moved on from "Buybacks" to "Lobbyists", "FUDMeisters" and "Shills".
Last straws, without a doubt.
