It is rather ironic and sad. In the past, when Microsoft didn't need
security, it neglected it, in order to elevate ease of use. Now that it
truly needs security (the Internet has arrived), it cannot really afford it.
Investors want to increase number of sales, regardless of purpose. It's like
selling cigarettes and remedies for tobacco (or lung surgeries) at the same
time.
