Its a difficult situation. Microsoft has a lot of money and resources
to throw around so I fear that we are stuck with their tactics for
some time to come. The only way to combat the intrusions is to
continue to develop Linux to point where there is no question it is a
viable alternative to what Microsoft is offering.
We have the internet, the newsgroup and the fact that a lot of people
are becoming unhappy with Microsoft on our side. Microsoft has a
phenomenal maketing system on their side.
Its a chess game. We're in the opening phase and just starting to move
into the middle game where everything gets hot and heavy. At some
point, I'm hoping we get a knight check with a fork on the queen. Then
its a new game in our favor.
