Ignoring the irony of Microsoft accusing others of stealing *their*
ideas (LOL!), I think the above is an excellent point. Whatever
"methods" Microsoft believes they have some exclusive rights to, are
unlikely to be particularly fundamental to the core of the
functionality. Or IOW, remove the offending "idea" and replace it with
some equally trivial alternative ... problem solved.
I still say that even if Sweaty isn't just pulling numbers out his arse,
the impact is likely to be minimal.
Of course I'm sure Sweaty will return the favour by allowing us to audit
*Microsoft's* sources, right?
