The idea of running a lightweight layer like Sugar on top of Vista makes no
sense at all. With 'features' like DRM (even binary checks/conditions)
sucking up CPU cycles, it's just not the way to go with mobile devices that
have limited battery life. Additionally, the complexity and inherent
insecurity (user privileges as an 'addon' to a single-user system) make it a
bad idea (to address Ghost's take on this).

Let's never forget this:

Governments Must Reject Gates' $3 Bid to Addict Next Billion PC Users

| Specifically, Bill Gates, citing China as an example, said:
|
| "Although about 3 million computers get sold every year in China, but
| people don't pay for the software," he said. "Someday they will, though.
| As long as they are going to steal it, we want them to steal ours.
| They'll get sort of addicted, and then we'll somehow figure out how to
| collect sometime in the next decade."[1]

It took me ages trying to find this quote. I failed to find it. Only
recently, in a different context, I found this particular URL again, so it's
worth repeating. It's a warning signal. It all goes back to the
{[vendor|user] is in control} argument.
